Verification of Canadian citizenship [Myra Pastyr-Lupul (Canadian Consulate); Melannie Smith (Passport Canada)]

Please be aware that subj is currently being held by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Eloy, AZ for falsely claiming to be a US citizen. The ICE officer who called me wanted me to verify that he was issued the Canadian passport, thus that he is a Canadian citizen. I told him that I cannot verify information for him, or sign any affadavits attesting to his Canadian citizenship which will lead to his criminal conviction in the US. I referred him to his DHS counterparts in Washington who deal with Canada Border Services agency and the RCMP in cross border investigations.
