Dear Miss. Dextraze:
I spoke with Deportation Officer Michael Leal yesterday and he informs me that the burden is actually on me to submit a request to the foreign consulate to attempt to obtain a travel document, rather than ICE submitting the request. This is contrary to what I had been informed of previously.
Therefore, I hereby submit to you my formal request to be issued a travel document in my name, for the purpose of being removed to Canada. As I've stated previously, I am not a Canadian citizen - regardless of whatever unfounded allegations ICE may have previously made to you. Also, I am currently a felon, due to ICE prosecuting me for perjury (although, I anticipate that conviction being vacated in the near future).
DO Leal also informed me that the last communication ICE had with you stated that a travel document was forthcoming. Therefore, he states, unless ICE receives a letter from you directly stating otherwise they continue to assume a travel document is pending. I therefore request you provide ICE an “official letter" stating whether or not it is the Canadian government's intention to issue a travel document in my name.
I sincerely thank you for your time and assistance in these matters and I look forward to your prompt and decisive response.
Richard Riess
