Dear Mr. Myhre:
At my probation variance hearings in early 2019 you made reference to what you referred to as “Mr. Fox's Canadian passport”, and you pointed out that I included a copy of that passport with the documents I had submitted for those hearings. My own evidence, you argued, supports the Crown's position that I am a Canadian citizen.
Well, Mr. Myhre, it seems now is the appropriate time to bring the following to your attention: the document I included with my supporting evidence, which you erroneously, yet smugly and condescendingly, insisted was my own Canadian passport, was actually an emergency travel document (ETD) –
I'm going to assume you were aware of that, since the dates of issue and expiration, which were very clearly stated on the ETD, were only a few days apart, whereas passports are issued for 5 years; and because the photo on the ETD was a mugshot taken by ICE while I was in their custody; and because the dates of issue and expiration were while I was in ICE custody and ICE was actively trying to deport me.
So, Mr. Myhre, did you know the document was an ETD, not a passport, and you were deliberately misleading (lying to) the court again; or were you mistaken (again) yet nevertheless arguing based on that mistaken understanding?
Patrick Fox
