Dear Mr. Layton:
While I was out of custody you had assisted me in obtaining some of my seized property from the VPD.
Although I am now in custody, I respectfully request your assistance in this request.
To refresh your memory, I am hoping to obtain the items which were seized in relation to 244069-7-B/CA47391 and 244069-8-B/CA48145. None of the seized items contained anything of evidentiary value, and none of it was used as evidence at the trials.
If we're able to have the items released before I am released from custody I would ask that they be forwarded to me here at NFPC where they will be held with my property until my release.
Thank you.
Patrick Fox

Court of Appeal Nos. CA47391, CA48145;
Release of property from VPD
Dear Mr. Layton:
Sorry for the delay.
Regarding the release of my property from the VPD, my strong preference would be for them to release the property ASAP and for them to forward it to me here; rather than waiting until I'm released then having to make these arrangements. It's possible it could take weeks, or even months, to communicate and coordinate with the respective parties and I really don't want to hang around Vancouver or BC or Canada any longer than necessary.
Surely the VPD must have protocols for forwarding a person's property. I mean, what happens when a person gets deported, or extradited to another jurisdiction, or sentenced to 10 years?
If it won't be possible to have the items forwarded and I will absolutely have to go there and pick them up in person, then I guess I would ask that we get as much of the process done as possible then just hold off on the final, formal release until I'm released from custody.
Thank you.
