David Hopkins - Defense Lawyer, Law Office of David Hopkins

David Hopkins is a criminal defense lawyer. I hired him to represent me when I was first changed with criminal harassment in 2016. That included the bail hearing.

Leading up to the bail hearing I repeatedly informed Hopkins I didn't require authorization to export my firearms to the US, because although you otherwise require authorization to export your firearms from Canada, there's an exception for the US. I told him it's stated right on the RCMP's website Importing and Exporting Firearms - RCMP. I gave him the URL. He refused to check that. At the bail hearing he said nothing about any of that. I was denied bail based, primarily, on the unlawful exportation of firearms charge (which the prosecutor later dropped, anyway). After the bail hearing I demanded Hopkins pull up the RCMP's website, and go to that page. He did so, and read it. His only response was "Hmm. Interesting." I fired his pathetic, useless ass right there and decided to represent myself.

Let me be completely clear on this: David Hopkins is useless and is just another puppet for the Crown.
